In October MY FOUNDATION participated in SOS Children’s Villages’ digital, corona-friendly edition of their annual event for major donors.
This year, unfortunately, we could not meet face to face with all the amazing supports, but we had the honor of sharing the story of MY FOUNDATION, and the difference we can make for vulnerable children around the world through earmarked CSR which again create a more purpose-driven everyday life for you and your employees. We also had the wonderful opportunity to share experiences with Xellia Pharmaceuticals, which with their charitable initiatives and inspiring CSR strategy is a role model for all companies. Our humble thanks to SOS Children’s villages for an unique and very rewarding evening and a fantastic first year of our partnership.

We Are The Future
In 2014 our co-founders Remee S. Jackman and Mathilde Gøhler noticed during their first visit to Buru Buru, Kenya, that eventhough the children were happy, healthy and loved they had very little or no facilities to express themselves and discover their unique talents. Being an orphan, this moved Remee.
They therefore decided to do something about it, and have since then raised money to among many other things a music school. And today, six years later, the children of Buru Buru are on Spotify and other music streaming services with their first single, We Are The Future, produced by Remee S. Jackman and his creative team.
All profits from downloads etc. go to support Buru Buru and MY FOUNDATION’s other charitable projects.

Clean and safe water for Buru Buru
The children’s village of Buru Buru in Kenya, which our co-founders Mathilde Gøhler and Remee S. Jackman are village partners of, needs your help to raise 250.000 DKK to install new water facilities.
Without clean and safe water, the children of Buru Buru are at risk of health problems, which can furthermore cause inadequate education due to poor concentration and low attendance. Safe water, sanitation and hygiene are now more than ever essential for preventing and protecting human health during an infectious disease outbreak such as COVID-19 – making your support to a reliable water supply in Buru Buru more important than ever.
By giving a donation you help to ensure that the 140 children living in the SOS village community Buru Buru in Nairobi, Kenya can have a safe and caring upbringing with a clean, safe and reliable water supply.
Safe water, sanitation and hygiene are essential for preventing and protecting human health during an infectious disease outbreak as coronavirus – making your support more important than ever.
